Who we are
United Auto Tech, at 33365 Mission Blvd, Union City, CA 94587, runs this site and the bookings made on it.
Call (510) 209-0748 with any question about this notice.
What we collect
When you book a drop-off time online, you give your name, mobile phone number and email, your car's year, make and model, and, if you choose, a note about what the car is doing.
The site also keeps when you booked and any change or cancellation.
To stop misuse of the form, the site briefly counts booking attempts from each internet (IP) address.
Why
We use your details to hold your drop-off time, to email you the confirmation, a reminder and any change or cancellation, and so the shop can call or text you about your booking.
We do not sell your details, share them for advertising, or use them for anything else.
Who receives them
The shop, which sees your booking, your car and your note.
An email service, which sends the booking emails to you and to the shop.
Google Calendar, which holds the shop's calendar of drop-offs, with the time, the service, your name, phone, email, car and note.
Cloudflare, which hosts this site and stores the bookings. Cloudflare's bot check makes sure a person, not a program, is filling in the form; it sees your internet address and browser, not your booking.
Google, when a page loads the shop's map or the site's fonts. Google sees your internet address, not your booking.
How long we keep them
Your details are erased 2 years after your drop-off date. The record that a booking happened stays, without your name, phone, email, car or note.
When your details are erased, your booking's entry in the shop's Google Calendar is deleted too. Only the calendar the shop uses for bookings at that time is cleared: an entry in a calendar the shop no longer uses is not removed automatically.
Seeing or deleting your details
To see the details we hold about you, or to have them deleted, call (510) 209-0748 or reply to any of your booking emails.
If a booking has wrong details, the shop cancels it and books it again with the right ones.
Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information is collected about you and who receives it, to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and not to be treated differently for asking.
This site does not track you across other websites and uses no advertising cookies, so it works the same way whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
