Repair
Brake repair
Brakes wear a little with every stop. A brake service checks the pads, rotors and fluid, replaces what is worn, and checks that the car stops straight.

How we do it
1 / 7
Check it
A test drive and a look at the pads show how worn they are and where the noise comes from.
Check it
A test drive and a look at the pads show how worn they are and where the noise comes from.
Up and off
The car goes up on the lift and the wheel comes off, so the brake is out in the open.
Old pads out
The caliper swings up and the worn pads come out. Next to a new pad, the wear is easy to see.
The rotor
The rotor is measured. If it is still thick enough it is resurfaced smooth; if not, it is replaced.
New pads in
The slides are cleaned and greased, the new pads go in, the caliper is bolted back on and the brake fluid is checked.
Wheel on
The wheel goes back on, the car comes down, and the nuts are tightened to spec in a star pattern.
Back to you
A short test drive confirms it stops straight, then the keys go back to you.
